This record was written over the last two years during a surreal time, going in and out of multiple lockdowns. In many ways writing it allowed me to maintain a focus throughout this period and it helped me mentally work towards something positive and meaningful, that represents this strange couple of years. I usually take inspiration from new experiences, places & people but this time I often found the inspiration came from looking forward beyond the pandemic. Having not been able to see my family back in the UK for over two years now and in that time losing two Grandparents & a close childhood friend made me realise how fragile time is. I channeled all these experiences and feelings back into this music. The title ‘Blue Spring’ to me represents the idea of looking forward after a stormy season, to a new clearer sky.
